Google Video Alert for: Wii Motionplus

| Yup. They pretty much convinced me that the PS3 is officially worth it. OH SHIT. CHAD WARDENN WAS RIGHT. Here are my unofficial E3 Press Conference Awards: Best Presentation: Sony- for making it simple, easy to understand, but really flashy Worst Presentation: Nintendo- it just seemed like they were showcasing games in a random order, so it was difficult to follow and remember some of the important details Biggest Improvement- Sony, it may not be the Year of the PS3 yet, but there will be one soon. Biggest un-Improvement- Microsoft, while they have some huge titles coming up, they're in a position where they have a lot to lose. Best Microsoft Exclusive: Gears of War 2. I have little experience with the Gears of War series as I haven't had my 360 for long, but I HAVE played it and Gears 2 looks to surpass Gears of War. Best Nintendo Exclusive: Animal Crossing: City Folk- It's a shame that I am not very hyped for this game, but it's the only good game that's coming out for the Wii, from what I can tell, that was shown at E3. Best Sony Exclusive: LittleBigPlanet- I didn't choose Resistance 2 because of the user based content, LittleBigPlanet will last a lot longer, and it's something I haven't really seen before. I've seen a lot of shooters. Broadest Appeal: Nintendo- Isn't it obvious with their new casual approach on gaming, and the fact that they are #1 in sales? Best Hardcore Appeal: Sony. Simply for the fact Microsoft and Nintendo took a casual approach at this E3. Best Online Multiplayer Experience: Home- From what I've seen, this is vastly better than Nintendo's Mii system and Microsoft lackluster looking avatar system. Most Innovation: Xbox 360's new interface- I was stunned when I saw how seamless you can switch from sharing photos, playing games, and watching a movie. Biggest Surprise: Final Fantasy XIII coming to the 360. What a big blow to Sony, and obviously the biggest surprise here at E3. Biggest Disappointment: Nintendo's Press Conference- They said that they were releasing not one, but several, core games. They failed. Animal Crossing, while a good game, is not what I call a core game. Best New Hardware: Wii MotionPlus- Hopefully, this will end all the unresponsive controls in all these minigame compilations on the Wii. Best Handheld: PSP- Because the DS has nothing that's truly appealing to it besides the new GTA game and maybe its non-gaming abilities. The PSP, is almost perfectly goes well with the PS3. Game to Avoid at All Costs: Rayman Raving Rabbids TV- The first game was good, but I beat it in a day. The second game wasn't. It doesn't look like the third one will be any better. Best Downloadable Game: Geometry Wars- One of the best games on XBLA is getting a sequel? The screenshots look awesome. Best Game Shown So Far: Fallout 3. Yes. I AM more hyped for this game than no other game out there, even more than Gears of War 2. Seriously, ANY game where you can shoot a teddy bear at someone and see them die a bloody death must be freaking awesome. Most Information: Microsoft- finally we get some release dates, or at least something close to dates. Best Conference: Sony- It was hard to choose between Microsoft and Sony, but Sony had more of an appeal to me and had more games that appealed to me. Worst Conference: Nintendo- I was REALLY hyped for this. And it failed. I feel violated. Predicted Game of the Year: Fallout 3- While Gears of War 2 had more hype, remember Halo 3? It got almost no Game of the Year awards, while Super Mario Galaxy, a game that didn't generate nearly as much hype, won a lot of Game of the Year awards. The same with Fallout 3. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DW5vyTZoVWwU&vgc=rss&usg=AFQjCNFfXODr-n2tPp_JlkrD7wwj80ivPQ |
